I am trying to replace my Table Rate shipping setup with Services shipping. I am unwilling to uninstall the table rate completely until I see Services working. I have disabled Table Rate but then I only see “No shipping methods available…” I have two sets of regions, two sets of Package definitions. Is there a conflict? How much of the Table Rate stuff do I have to uninstall to get Services to spring to life? Where is the step-by-step setup guide? Is there nothing other than the Installation Instructions?

    Hey there!

WooCommerce Services and WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping work together without issue. You don’t have to remove anything, I have them both working independently and both sets of rates appear.

However you can’t create table rates in WooCommerce Services yet. Currently there are just USPS and Canada Post rates available.

Are you using the official WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping plugin? There are a couple of others with very similar names out there.

If so, if you disable WooCommerce Services does Table Rate Shipping work OK? And the opposite, so does WooCommerce Services work when Table Rate Shipping is disabled?

As we’re very new, the documentation isn’t quite full yet, but you can read more about setting this all up here:

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-services/

    and here:

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-services-faq/

It sounds like if Table Rate Shipping is disabled and you’re not getting rates then you should enable Debug logging under WooCommerce > System Status > WooCommerce Services. Then try to get a rate and come back to the log and see the reason why no rate is being displayed.

Hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any further questions, thanks!

I am using WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping, which I find tedious and cumbersome and I will be glad to abandon it. It is currently disabled, and Services is coming online bit by bit. I discovered that Services needs correct Country, State and ZIP, all three, to get a response from USPS. The Debugger was helpful there. I now get rates from all my zones except Mexico, which displays the fallback rate. Still tinkering.
That Setup doc was very helpful; thanks a lot.
I have encountered a few other bugs that I will look for on the forum, or post under an appropriate subject, rather than continuing in this thread. Talk to you soon.
