I’ve been having problems with my Soliloquy slider for about a week now. I can’t delete slides, and while I can make new sliders and upload images, I can’t get the metadata (URL etc.) for each slide to save. My host finally figured out that it seems to be because of a conflict with the Tasty Recipes plugin. Can you take a look into this?

  • Hi @swilliams01

I’m very sorry for the trouble! It sounds like a possible conflict with the theme or plugins.

Have you already tried deactivating the theme and plugins to check for a conflict?

My host’s support team took a look at everything, and they were only able to fix it by deactivating Tasty Recipes. They told me they don’t know why the conflict is happening, and to contact you. This issue must have started within the last few weeks, because I noticed it when I went to remove New Year’s themed images from the slider. I didn’t have any problems adding slides when I prepared the slider for Christmas in early December. I haven’t changed my theme or plugins, and I’ve been using Soliloquy for almost a year with no issues prior to this.

I’ve been running into the same problem, and I’ve narrowed down the problem on my site to Advanced Custom Fields Pro.

The problem seems related to admin-ajax.php; with both Soliloquy Lite and ACF Pro active, if I try to delete a slide, I get a 403 error in the JavaScript console on that file.

Also, in the course of debugging, if Soliloquy Lite was active and ACF Pro wasn’t, ACF Pro _wouldn’t_ activate if I tried. I could only activate ACF Pro if Soliloquy Lite was inactive, and once both were active again, Soliloquy Lite’s problems started up again.

Yes, that sounds similar to my issue. My host has also said it was an admin-ajax.php issue with a 403 error.

Hi @aky01usa is there a way for free users to submit support tickets? I still can’t delete slides when Tasty Recipes is active.

    Hi @swilliams01 ??

You can submit a ticket to our support by going to https://soliloquywp.com/contact/ and just click Have a Basic Question.

We’re not always able to resolve plugin conflicts but we can have a look for you. Just make sure you let them know this is for Soliloquy Lite.
