Conflict with the FiboSearch plugin
-
Hi CleanTalk Support,
I’m Damian from the FiboSearch plugin. A lot of FiboSearch users report issues with CleanTalk. Can you help us sort this out? Steps to recreate it:
- Install the FiboSearch plugin and eg. the Storefront theme. Then go to
WooCommerce -> FiboSearch -> Starting (tab)
and replace the default WooCommerce search bar with FiboSearch. - Install the CleanTalk plugin. Then go to
Settings -> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk -> Advanced settings
and turn on the option “Test default WordPress search form for spam“. - Open the homepage site.
- Type something in the search bar and submit the form.
- After redirection to the search results page, the
s
parameter in the URL is empty. It’s not always empty. Sometimes it works well. Sometimes it doesn’t work on mobile devices only. It behaves very randomly, but with a lot of determination, everyone can eventually reproduce it.

cleantalk-spam-protect/js/apbct-public-bundle.min.js
file, the plugin skips the protection of the form when it has theproinput
class. We added the class to our forms some time ago, but users still report issues. Perhaps it helps only partially.Do you have any ideas on how we can stop cutting out the
s
parameter from the URL after submitting the FiboSearch form? - Install the FiboSearch plugin and eg. the Storefront theme. Then go to
