    Hello,

I have been using Translatepress-multilingual successfully for approximately a year. I use it to translate from English to Spanish. However, I didn’t make any posts for about two months and when I made my first post again, the posting date that should have been in English appeared on the post in Spanish and it was a date from the past – I think the date of the last post that I had made before my break. Although that date was originally showing up in English, not Spanish. I then realized that all of my previous posts were showing up with that same old date and in Spanish.

I use the Colormag theme in WordPress. I’m not sure why all of the sudden there is a conflict, however it’s definitely coming from this plug-in because I deactivated all of my plug-ins and the problem went away. I re-activated them all one by one, and the same problem returned when I re-activated the Translatepress-multilingual plug-in.

Any suggestions for correcting this would be appreciated. Or do I need to use a different plug-in entirely?

    Julie

  • Hello there,

Thanks for reaching out about your issue.

I did try to check out the problem that you mentioned on your website with no luck. I went through all news sections and the dates seemed fine. Did you manage to solve it?
If not please send some screenshots or a link to a post where this is happening.

Please try a default theme like twenty-twenty and see if this still happens.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Best Regards,

    Hello,

I thought I had responded to your reply above, however I did so in an email and I’m not sure it was seen. Here is what I wrote:

    Hello Again,

I used your suggestion and I discovered that there is a conflict with the translatepress-multilingual plug-in. When it's enabled, it defaults the posting date to the date of the last article posted. I have disabled this plug-in and the problem is gone. That's why you didn't see it when you went to the site. I'm going to use a different plug-in to see if that helps. If you have any other suggestions for how to resolve this issue, please let me know.

    Thank you for your help!

    Julie
