I love UFAQ, but on the site where I’m using the Newspaper theme, I find that it is breaking the layout of the TagDiv composer to the point where it’s unusable, and I have to disable UFAQ temporarily to use it.

When this happens, I see errors like this in the console:

blocks.min.js:3 The block “ultimate-faqs/ewd-ufaq-display-faq-block” must have a registered category.
    we @ blocks.min.js:3
blocks.min.js:3 The block “ultimate-faqs/ewd-ufaq-search-block” must have a registered category.
    we @ blocks.min.js:3
blocks.min.js:3 The block “ultimate-faqs/ewd-ufaq-submit-faq-block” must have a registered category.

blocks.min.js:3 The block “ultimate-faqs/ewd-ufaq-recent-faqs-block” must have a registered category.
    we @ blocks.min.js:3
blocks.min.js:3 The block “ultimate-faqs/ewd-ufaq-popular-faqs-block” must have a registered category.
    we @ blocks.min.js:3

These errors do not happen when UFAQ is disabled, and the TagDiv Composer works fine. I’ve already tried disabling cachine and optimization plugins, but this still happens.

Any idea how I can fix this?
    Thanks

    Hi Cheryl,

I don’t have any experience with the tagdiv composer, so I’m not sure why that would be happening. But the error itself seems to be implying that the block expects the FAQ to have a category selected?

So I think one of two things is happening. Maybe you just need to make sure to assign your FAQ to a category. Or, if that’s not it, maybe that composer isn’t rendering the Gutenberg block correctly? Does it have an option to insert a shortcode instead? If so, try just using the [ultimate-faqs] shortcode instead of the block.
