• Since I installed Ultimate Member in my website I noticed that Theme Options page stopped saving and a few fields is been displayed in a unexpected way. Maybe that’s because Ultimate Member uses Redux framework as well, and makes me wonder if that same problem will occur if I install other plugins that uses this same framework.

Is there a way to make those Ultimate Member and Ascend theme work together?

  • Hello Sam,

I’ve just installed the plugin and am able to save the theme options just fine.

I would first check and make sure that there is no other plugin causing this conflict by going through and deactivating any other plugin besides ultimate member, and then trying to save the settings.

Let me know if it works then. Also, which version of the theme are you currently on?

Hi Kevin. Thank you for answering back.

I did the same, having enabled only Ultimate Member and Kadence Toolkit. I entered Theme Options page and had the same error.

I’m always using the latest version of the theme.

The only thing different I’m running here is the Portuguese (BR) language website (not backend).

    Any ideas on this?

What is the actual version number of your theme installation? Can you share a link to your site?

    That would be Version: 1.1.9

    Hey samrgomes,
Do you know your php memory limit? It could be this is being exceeded. I would suggest contacting your host and asking them to increase this for you.

Hey Hannah! Thank you for you suggestion.

I increased my PHP memory limit to 2 GB but I’m still getting the error when saving.

    Hey,
Ultimate Member uses an older version of the Redux framework. because it’s a plugin and because of how wordpress orders init when you have it installed wordpress pulls there old version. The simple workaround is to just install redux plugin and then both the theme and ultimate member will use it and it will work:

    Perfect, Ben!

It saves now, though I’m getting this error message above the ‘Theme Options’ page:

Warning: Error while sending QUERY packet. PID=801396 in public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1887

Thank you for your help again! You’re the best.

Have you tried deactivating your plugins to see if any are outputting that? I suggest starting there. Let me know if there’s no change.

    Hey Hannah.

The message has been vanished now. Apparently, a Redux update fixed this.

    Thank you.
