Hello. I want a sliding-fading header for my HOME page, but it seems that if I try to use meta-slider, I have to remove code from the header that is also required by a different plugin, Unique Headers.

I’ve arranged for a different narrow header on different types of pages and posts, using Unique Headers plugin, and I love the effect, I want to keep it. (However, Unique Headers plugin offers no way to also put unique headers onto search results, error pages, or page lists.)

My problem is that I want a nice slider-fading-header for the HOME page only, and I can’t see how to do that without removing code from my theme that is used by the Unique Headers plugin.

In desperation to get the effect I want, I made a big animated gif for the home page header. But it’s obviously weighing the site down to a crawl.

Two options: first: Can you please tell me HOW to install a meta-slider as my header to look exactly like my gif, without deactivating my Unique Headers?

P.S. Please do not tell me to contact Unique Headers plugin developer. I already tried that, he doesn’t answer people. He moreover has conflicting notices at his web site. On one page, he says he’s available to be hired; on another page, he says he isn’t.

So, I need another solution. And it really involves getting Meta-Slider to work despite unique headers being also installed.

    Thanks in advance.

Thank you. I’m sure that if I were a developer, and not just a blogger; and if I had a big business web site with a lot of products and services to showcase in a header and other slideshows, $39,50 USD every year would be a great investment.

As a blogger wanting to put 4 images into a fading slideshow permanently on the header of my site, the annual fee is beyond me; and also as I’m in Canada, it comes to $52.53 CAD.

I will have to keep looking for a free slider.

    Thanks for your time.
