    Hi,

I am using the following WC Lovers plugins:
    WooCommerce Multivendor Marketplace
    WooCommerce Frontend Manager
    WooCommerce Frontend Manager – Ultimate

On the Vendor pages the SEO Framework places the / its SEO info above the SEO information added by the vendor relating to their business (both sets of SEO info can be seen in the page source). This results in the first product listed in vendors product listing being the SEO info in the page title etc. and not that of the business.

Have alerted WC Lovers of this situation also.

    Hope this helps,

    Cheers J

    Hi J,

It seems that the Multivendor Marketplace plugin adds a whole new (untouchable) layer on top of WordPress. I can’t see a scenario where the plugins could ever reach compatibility, other than that plugin preventing SEO plugins from touching its pages.

I’d love to know their thoughts. Did you file a report with them publicly?

    Hi Sybre,

Thats a shame as I am getting good SEO results with your plugin. I will raise the SEO issue with WC The Marketplace developers again and refer them to this post.

Additional issue – I have noticed that the primary category setting is not working correctly I am using Flatsome theme.

    Cheers J

    Hi J,

    I followed up there.

About the primary category issue, what did you find not working correctly?
I suspect it’s to do with the breadcrumbs that the theme outputs, could you confirm this?

    Thanks!

    Hi Sybre,

    Here is an example:
This product is in 2 categories. Claddagh Gifts is set as primary category, however when you view the product page Personalised Hip Flasks is highlighted in the left hand nav and is written in the breadcrumb.

    Hope this helps, J

    Hi J,

Yes, that’s perfectly understandable. The primary term issue is here because there’s no default end-point to which plugins and themes have to listen.

For now, the primary term selection only affects the breadcrumbs TSF outputs (which it can’t on WooCommerce pages, thanks to Google), and the canonical URL (provided you embed the %category% endpoint).

As of this date, there is no easy way to predict the front-page adherence to this option; and it’s therefore here to stay, albeit confusing and useless in some situations.

So, we’ll have to wait for improvements in the WordPress API surrounding this feature.

    Hi Sybre,

Thanks for the update, very much appreciated. As you say, we shall see how it develops in the future.

I see you have reached out to WC Lovers / Marketplace with possible solutions – thanks so much for that – I hope that they respond positively and take it onboard.

    Regards, J
