I do not know where to begin to troubleshoot this problem.

My site has WordPress 4.7.2, Redux Framework 3.6.3, Yoast 4.3, and PageBuilder by SiteOrigin 2.4.24. I have problems with Yoast 4.3.

This problem revealed itself after upgrading to WordPress 4.7.2. When I view all my posts (wp-admin/edit.php) I see the Yoast columns labeled: SEO and Readability. But when I create a new post (wp-admin/post-new.php) or edit a post (wp-admin/post.php?post=<i>wxyz</i>&action=edit), the Yoast indicators and the analysis boxes do not work. More specifically, the Yoast indicators do not appear under the section labeled Publish. Additionally, the Yoast SEO analysis boxes do not appear. Furthermore, I cannot compose content.

I have stopped and restarted plugins with negative results. I have searched extensively for a solution to these problems online, but I cannot find anything. If the solutions are already in this knowledge base, I apologize for my failure to locate them. I feel like I have been spinning my wheels looking for solutions, so please excuse my oversight, if any, and kindly direct me to them. Otherwise, if the solutions are not already posted here, please assist. Thank you.

  • I am having the same issue. Are you by any chance running wordpress multisite?

No, it does not appear to be configured for multisite.

I’ve got a multisite configuration running and I’m having the same issue with YOAST. So, I thought it might be something same.

The SEO keyword and readability analysis can be disabled site wide or per user. So lets confirm its enabled for your site and for your user specifically:

Admin > SEO > Titles & Metas*: Are both keyword and readability features enabled?
Admin > Users > Your Profile: Are both SEO and readability UNchecked?

If both of these are enabled, then something is either conflicting or has manually disabled the feature. The next step would be to disable all plugins and switch to a freshly installed default theme, like Twenty Seventeen. From this default state, enable Yoast SEO and see if the analysis returns.

    * If you do not see Titles & Metas, the advanced settings can be enabled by following the steps here.

I checked that SEO keyword and readability are checked on my end. I tried disabling all the plugins and just trying YOAST SEO. I even re-installed that plugin. Still same.
I have opened an issue on Github for developers to check.

This is what my screen looks like :

    I guess it’s same for @smolenskylaw

Hi @amboutwe. All the settings are correct. I have disabled and enabled the plugins several times with negative results.

Thank you @dhruvkanojia for opening a ticket with GitHub. Can you share the results here?

@smolenskylaw Yep, sure I will share the result, if I find anything that works out ??

Hey, I found a workaround and the main issue of this whole mess. Take a look at this comment on Github :

Hi @dhruvkanojia. Did that workaround resolve the problem for you? I found another one last night, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it definitively resolves the problem. I added this to the wp-config.php file:

    define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false);
