Conflicting With Visual Composer

    WP Statistics is conflicting with Visual Composer. It will not allow any editing on front end and does not allow Visual Composer to be visible in the backend editing. I disabled all plugins except these two and it still happens! I made this video to show what I am talking about. https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbQvoBIxSY you can view it with this link. Please can you fix? I really like WP Statistics but Visual Composer is a main plugin the my websites content and can’t be disabled. Look forward to hearing good news soon. Thanks.

    You mind if I ask you what version WordPress & PHP version you are using?
    I have been back and forth with PHP version 5.6… & 7.0… still no change.

    WP Version: 4.8.2
    PHP: 7.0.23

    Hi Mostafa,

    Thanks for the quick turnaround – just tested the most recent github version and it works fine. Visual composer modules work as expected and no more error message in the console.

    Sorry I’ve been unable to test the beta of the new plugin glad the others are helping out. I look forward to reactivating the new release keep up the good work!

    The new version released. Please update to v12.1.3

    What problems are you having? What part is not working? Can you screenshot or screen record your problems and the step your taking to show what the problem is? Screencast-o-matic has free web based screen recording you could try them to screen record then reply back here with the link to the video. Anyhow hope it works out for you. Let me know if you want I can try to help.

    The problem is seen when you try to edit a Text Block in a Visual Composer page. The edit window comes up with no text in it, even though there’s already text in the block. No editing of text is possible in the block.

    Please make sure your WP-Statistics is the latest version.

    Here’s how I solved it on my sites:

    1) Deactivate WP-Statistics
    2) Use WordPress to uninstall WP-Statistics
    3) Using FTP access, verified that all WP-Statistics folders were deleted
    4) Using PHPMyAdmin, verified that all WP-Statistics tables were deleted from database
    5) Using PHPMyadmin, deleted the database cache
    6) Using WordPress, deleted the cache
    7) Updated Visual Composer
    8) Reinstalled and activated WP-Statistics

    This was probably overkill, but there seemed to be no good reason for the plugins to conflict, so I used this multi-step nuclear option.
