    I am confused as to whether I should be using shipping zones–> weight based shipping, which I have successfully set up for the US and Canada, OR weight based shipping–> shipping rules. Are there basic set up instructions anywhere?

    Hello,

    You can add Weight Based Shipping methods to shipping zones, or use the global Weight Based Shipping method outside of shipping zones, or both. It’s up to you. If you are not sure, start with shipping zones.

    Here is an example setup using the global WBS method.
