Confused about CF7 integration

  • I simply want to be able to have someone input their name an email address, and then get an auto generated email to them with a PDF attached. Do I need this plugin or CF7, or both to do that? Do you also need this download monitor plugin? Seems like a lot of plugins to use for what I thought would be a simple task. Please advise..?

    Yes, Contact Form 7 and Download Monitor Plugins are required in order to use this (Email Before Download) plugin. We add some features while combining those two very popular — and free — plugins together to allow you accept someone’s name/email (via CF7) and display (or email) a link to a download (via Download Monitor).

    We decided to go this direction since web forms and downloads have a lot of features we didn’t want to replicate; we wanted to let people use the best-of-breed tools for those purposes.
