• I am confused!

I use your All In One SEO plugin for my podcast (https://www.hablandodetecnologia.com). Yes, it’s in Spanish.

Being that it’s a podcast, my title field ends up being long and convoluted because it summarizes all the subjects that I cover in each program.

Then, I use the “Title” field in All In One SEO to include a short title (under 60 characters) and a short description (under 160 characters).

So what’s the problem? The problem is that the information that I put in the All In One SEO fields doesn’t appear on my XML Sitemap. Instead I’m getting the long and convoluted version coming from the title field at the top of my posts.

According to your software the “Title” field is a custom title that shows up in the title tag for the page. So what am I doing wrong?

Can you please steer me in the right direction?

    Best regards,

    Orlando Mergal

    Hi Orlando,

The Title and Description do not appear in the XML Sitemap, the XML Sitemap is not supposed to include that information, it is only supposed to include the URL, Last Modified Date, Change Frequency and Priority. This is as per the protocol specified here – https://www.sitemaps.org/protocol.html
