I am not a coder and am struggling to get the plugin to work. Most of the instructions are very good for this plugin and I think (but not 100%) that my google permissions were configured right.

While at the first step in the editor – trying to set up a gallery on the page, I get a box with message saying

Google Drive gallery hasn't been granted permissions yet. If you are the website administrator, you can <a href=”https://pic.peachesincrime.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=sgdg_basic”>configure</a&gt; it in the plugin settings.

What is this requiring me to do ? That looks like html page code. If so – which files require the code addition?

What I have in the ‘plugin grant permission’ page is: ( they might well be wrong)

I dont really understand what javascript origin is – so put in the root of the site. I did the same for redirect

    -Authorized Domain pic.peachesincrime.com
    -Authorized JavaScript origin https://pic.peachesincrime.com
    -Authorised redirect URI https://pic.peachesincrime.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=sgdg_basic&action=oauth_redirect
-I have the google supplied codes in Client ID and Client secret in place also

I have no idea if this is sufficient for anyone out there to tell what it is that done incorrectly thus far – or what I should do now.

Also – I am not sure what I was required to do with the generated json file – I put it in the root of the website peachesincrime.com folder ( I dont know what pic.peachesincrime.com is – there is an empty pic folder in the / folder)

Sorry if this is painful – appreciate any assistance offered – As far as I can see this plugin would offer me an idea solution to constructing a proper integrated page on the site in with equivalent functionality of this page

Seems advisable for me to give up finally – and do something else

Currently the gallery is still on my splash page in the event this helps figure out what is wrong. My google account seems to be right

I got this in email from Google accounts ‘SecondPeachesInCrimeApp was granted access to your Google Account’ – so that seems to suggest that side of things is ok. It told me I do not need to have the site verified by Google.

When I start to populate the site I make an unlinked with the googe gallery link and post link here so diagnosis is still possible

    Hi,
the grey loading button is part of the plugin. Could you please try version 2.13.2? I fixed some more issues and I believe yours may be one of them ??

    Thanks,
    Marek

    Thanks

I just updated to 2.13.2 and regenerated a gallery but still the same issue

I have 13 images in the gallery and currently set to 13 per page – was 20 before

    see

One more thing to report with 2.13.2 – For no apparent reason the editor started to report an unknown error where the gallery should be – I went to the basic options menu again – revoked permission and the asked for permission and it resumed the current state – wherein it is greyed out and recognizes the names of the 2 google drive folders which I created – and permits me to choose either of them at will

Further to the above – this has happened now 3x. Checking back in after perhaps 2-3hrs it is disconnected again – reporting: ‘Unknown error’.

    …seems to be a pattern

Ok, sorry for your bad experience, but some of those issues may be fixed in 2.13.3. I saw your website right now, are you sure you had 2.13.2? Because from what I’m getting it looks like 2.13.0….

    Thanks,
    Marek

    Yep

A WordPress gallery using Google Drive as file storage
Version 2.13.2 | By Junák – ?esky skaut | View details

I will delete the gallery again and insert a new one – just to make sure

    Thread Starter Philip Chudy

    (@philipchudy)

with regard to the appearance of it being an earlier version:

I installed the .2 version from a zip because it was not on the WP upgrade list at the time. That installed both versions rather than update the older one. I deleted the older one. Perhaps that resulted in a former reference to the .1 version

    (@philipchudy)

My install of the google drive gallery is now here https://peachesincrime.com/test/

Meantime just trying to throw something else up on my main site index page – so removing it from there

Since it loses authorization every half hour or so – I will occasionally try revoking and granting fresh permission

    Thanks

tried 2.13.3 earlier and no change in my case

How has this been marked as resolved. I also have this same issue. Using version 2.13.3 and I must have missed a message above that showed the resolution – The plugin is here. https://f3a.com.au/2023wch/photo-gallery/

It might be helpful to know this information. The gallery is only visible when logged into WordPress.

once a user is not logged into WordPress the user only sees the pulsing donut.

    Hi,
the gallery should be also visible to non-logged in users. Do you still have the issue?
