Confused Over Duplicate Plugins and Sermon Fields Not Working

  • I like several have had problems with new Sermon Manager so I am now on older version, 2.15.17 and have updated to latest version of WordPress. When trying to enter sermon data today, I notice none of the fields prompt me with pssible choice when I type a few letter like for Preacher and also no choices come up when clicking on the link to choose from recent choices. I also noticed that while 2.15.17 is activated there is also 2.15.18 of the plugin that is installed but not activated. I would like to get this to work. Had problems with newest version of plugin. Can someone help me please, about 12 years of sermons powered by this great plugin. My site is biblesearch.com. I have put a sample sermon link for page I want help on but that looks okay from last week. Maybe new version of WordPress or newest Divi them are conflicting with the older version. Cannot figure out how to add screenshots of what I am saying if we can. Thanks again.

    I have delted the duplicate Sermon Manager Plugin and updated to newest version but now again getting double sermon descriptions and still do not get popup calendar in sermon date or poups to add topics or series when I type in the first few letters. Latest version of WordPress and Divi Theme. Hope there will be a fix. Again, this program provides essential content on my web site for years now and I appreciate it very much. Thanks for any help.

    I’m going to guess it’s a Divi issue because I’m not having any problems with the SM 2.16.0 or WP 5.5 and I don’t use Divi.

    Mike, thanks so much and you bay be right. Gues I will have to wait for next Divi update and see what happens from there. Would love a confirm from anyone using Divi latest version, if they are getting the same problems as me with the latest and even earlier versions of Sermon Manager. Thanks again.

    To verify, you could switch to one of the WP default themes and check. If it is a Divi issue, I would like to think that the SM developers will want to make a fix since a lot of people use Divi.

    Thanks again. I have very little experience in dealing with all ins and outs of WordPress and don’t know if I could carry that out correctly. I have just been updating plugins and themes and WordPress and uploading new sermons for several years now. If I can do this safely and correctly and get my site back to Divi without changing any of my Divi editor settings, then I might try it. Maybe the ocnflict has something to do with the security focused latest update to Divi that is causing the porblems with the running of SM.

    Just a simple switch themes, check if the Sermons display correctly and switch back. Your changes are saved in the database. You’ll be fine.

    Thanks for the confirm. Hope and pray all can be resolved so I can post my sermons. Am seriously considering changing sermon plugins if this one can no longer be used. Fortunately my upcoming two sermons are on patience which I should try to apply to myself first whether I can post them now or not.
