I am using the plugin in Transitional mode. When I save an entry I always get a message like this:

There is content that fails in AMP validation. However, the invalid marking has been automatically removed. Review problems

    Invalid elements: script (34)

Invalid attributes: our, theater :, the, theater, cervantes, launches, contest, of, works, short, xmlns: og, xmlns: fb
(This message corresponds to this publication:
    https://www.recursosculturales.com/concurso-obras-nuestro-teatro/)

What does this mean? So is everything OK, has the plugin corrected the problem? should I use another mode?

    Regards,

  • @fedeborobio thanks for your topic. The messages indicate that the plugin has found and removed invalid markup from the AMP version of this page. AMP pages have certain requirements to be considered valid (see amp-wp.org and amp.dev for more info), so in Transitional mode it converts and strips away invalid code.

You may want to check the visual and functional parity of the AMP page with your non-AMP page with these elements removed. Append the ?ampquery var at the end of the page URL to view it.

Under AMP > Validated URLs, you will see the page listed. You’ll see what code was removed and what theme or plugin was involved.

When you click further under Details for the URL, you have a choice to Keep or Remove the invalid markup (the default action is Removed). Note that if you decide to Keep the invalid markup the page will no longer be valid AMP. If you’d like to retain the functionality on the AMP page, you’ll need to find an AMP-compatible alternative which can done by using compatible plugins, themes or custom development.

You can also choose Reader mode which provides AMP-ready templates of your AMP pages.

    See amp-wp.org for more resources.
