• Lately I’ve been seeing some sites with obviously unmodified instances of the Twenty Nineteen theme. While the bold and big font make up for a bold statement, I find the theme rather confusing while using it as a visitor on the frontend:

The typography is confusing, especially the menus — they need whitespace!

Also the whole structure is confusing as it is very hard to distinct one blog post from another and from footer content or whatever that should be.

In result this theme doesn’t feel modern and “trendy”.

I decided to gave it only 1 star as I believe these “default” themes should live up to a higher standard given the fact they are installed by default by hundreds of thousands of users.

  • Hey David,

I feel exactly the same. It does not highlights when a post is ending and the other one is starting. Probably need to modify this default them to turn it into something useful.
