Connec images of Cimy Header Image Rotator to Hot Random Image

I can’t resolve how to make using those images on “Hot Random Image plugin”? Please help.

What exactly do you mean by “can’t resolve”?

What exactly did you do (after installing the plugin)?

And what happened? Any error messages you can share with us?

I just installed the “Hot Random Image” plugin, and in the widget’s settings, I see clear instructions: “path to images… relative to your WordPress installation“. An example was even given!

Following the example given, assuming your images are in the folder named 0, then the path to use would be wp-content/Cimy_Header_Images/0

I have done nothing. Neither I know how to add the images

I have all images on /public_html/hongkong/wp-content/Cimy_Header_Images/0/ folder

How can I use those images on Hot Random Image plugin.

• Footer Area One (empty)
• Footer Area Two (empty)
• Footer Area Three (empty)
• Inactive widgets (empty)

There is no tutorial for me to follow

How can I use those images on Hot Random Image plugin.

1) Insert the plugin’s widget where you want to insert the images.

2) Configure the widget’s settings to load the images as I’ve explained in my edit above.

My problem here is unable to popu the window as shown by you. Is it on cPanel ?

This is WordPress. It has nothing to do with cPanel.

1) Go to APPEARANCE => WIDGETS

2) On this screen, you’ll see all your widget areas, the ones you listed above. Decide on which one of these widget areas you want to insert the images into.

3) Click the plus (+) “Add Block” sign in that widget area and type “random” in the box that appears. This should bring up the “Hot Random Image” widget. Click it to insert it into the widget area.

4) Now you’ll have the same screen I showed in my screenshot. Configure it as directed earlier.

Follow your instruction;

Appearance -> Widgets -> click Plus sign
-> type random
found “Hot Random Image”
Clicking “Hot Random Image” without response

After several trials, finally it works popup the window as shown by you

Sorry I couldn’t make “Hot Random Image” to work here.

I have been running “Cimy Header Image Rotator” for prolonged time. It has vulnerary risk but is still working nicely, rotating the uploaded images.

I have posted my problem on “Hot Random Images” plugin forum but no reply up-to-now.

What’s the address of the website in question?

I want to confirm the images are indeed where you say they are.

The original images path was found on cPanel via File Manager.

I also made another test, uploading 3 images on wp-content/uploads/2023/10

Still the images can’t be displayed on Header of Twenty-Eleven theme.

Also there is another problem on /Appearance/Widgets. Hot Randam Image icon is not always working. It is only by chance clicking its icon will popup the window shown by you.

Finally, we’re getting somewhere.

The “Hot Random Image” plugin provides a widget, and this can only be displayed in a widgetized area of your theme/site… unless you edit your theme’s template files to call the plugin’s output function directly wherever you want.

The Twenty-Eleven theme has no widgetized area in the theme’s Header at all. It has only four widget areas: one in the sidebar, and three in the footer. Again, there’s no widget area in the header at all.

So the plugin can NEVER put the images in the header… unless you edit your theme’s header.php file and call the plugin’s output function directly there (Note: PHP coding required).

This does not mean the plugin isn’t working: it’s simply not designed to do what you want it to do.
