When you say your clients do you mean you manage your client’s sites? I am trying to understand if it’s your client’s site you’re trying to connect to or if it’s your site.

i have an account, and all my clients add me as developer, so i can install stripe on their website. Now working on the website of a client who gave me also developer access.

I have also my own account for one of my project with the same credentials.

Thanks for the clarification. That’s the issue, you can’t login to your customer’s account with developer access. Your client must login since they are the account owner.

but its stupid! i cant ask all my clients to do those technical things, some clients want just that we do the job…. thats why stripe give the possibility to add “developer accounts”, so developer can work no ?

it was not like this before, with developer account i can access the keys
Is not possible to have also this possibility ? because it become difficult if i have to ask to my clients.

If you think it’s stupid you should take it up with Stripe since they recommended I code the plugin this way. What’s technical about someone clicking a button andlogging in to an account they own?

It’s a security risk to have anyone other than the account holder administer the keys. That’s coming from Stripe.

Security reasons… if have access as developer to the keys, its a non sense to not be able to use them on the website and that i should ask my client.

I have all kind of clients and some of them are certainly strange

@fulviods,

Stripe’s management works closely with me on this plugin and they requested that I change it to use the oAuth process instead of manually entering keys. That is why I changed it to use oAuth instead of entering the keys.

If your clients read the reviews for this plugin (5/5) I don’t think they will mind connecting their account this way. It’s a very good plugin.

You could also just request that your client’s add you as an admin on the account instead of a developer.

I’ll ask them to add me as admin.
But you can understand that I’m not saying you dont do a great job, i criticize stripe who acts inconsistently. Thanks again!
