Connect grouped product to individual product

A client of mine wants me to add a ‘grouped product section’ to a simple or variable product. An example of what I mean is to be found here.

If you scroll down, you will se a section with ‘complete outfit’.

So now I’m wondering what would be a good workaround to set this up. Is it possible to check (in my php code of course) if and article is used in a grouped product? And if so, that I collect all the specific grouped product data and add it to a new section through a hook?

Any suggestions are welcome…
