Connect products

Hi, do you have any recommended way of connecting products?

example:
product A is a child of product B
product A is a child of product B and product C
product A, product AA, product AAA are products of children of product B

I found a plugin that claims that does that but i wanted to ask here as well for alternatives and ideas
