CONNECT() TIMED OUT!

    Hi,

    We are super happy with our Awesome Weather Pro and I am not bothered by the occasional missing temperature due to issues with the Open Weather Map server. We are not a weather site so it’s not a huge issue. Instead my issues is that the loading of the page the Awesome Weather widget is on is held up until the connection times-out which can seem like a long time. Since we have your widget on our landing page, our site appears to visitors to be very sluggish.

    Is there any way to set the time until time-out to keep these database connection issues with the Open Weather Map server from making us seem slow?

    It is currently taking 1 min 30 sec to time-out (5001 ms)

    I have temporarily moved the Awesome Weather widgets out of our footer and our site refresh is back to normal. Look forward to hearing any ideas you might have on this so we can put the widgets back.

    @mcnaden looks like our weather data provider OpenWeatherMaps had some issues this weekend. I have heard reports that it’s back and working properly now. Maybe you could try on a demo site or something to confirm.
