I keep getting little popups that say “Please connect your user account to WordPress.com”

    Clicking them does nothing.

How do I connect my user account to WordPress.com?

  • I assume you are using the Jetpack plugin? This is the only way to establish a connection. If you have any questions, I would therefore recommend that you contact their support forum: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/jetpack/

Thank you, threadi. The “connect” option is deep inside the Jetpack dashboard and not at all obvious. I did find it and made the connection. It amazes me how WordPress has become so inept and difficult to use. Are all their developers Wix moles?

JetPack — is NOT — WordPress.

And WordPress does NOT come with JetPack.

That’s a 3rd-party plugin you chose to install but did not configure.

Sorry, George, I very much apologize if I offended you.

Jetpack is made by Automattic, that is WordPress. The Jetpack plugin configuring is not well done.

My comment about WordPress developers was inappropriate.

Thank you, James. I well know the difference having used WordPress.com and I have many self-hosted installs of www.ads-software.com. They two do have a lot in common, at the top and on down. The recent developments have been an uphill struggle for many of us. Pardon me for letting my frustration show.
