Connect with Facebook comment button not working in IE

  • Hello,

    I added the Connect with Facebook button to my comment form and it works fine in all the browsers I’ve tried except IE. In IE 9, it simply displays “Connect with Facebook” in plain text with no button and you can’t click on it.

    When I turn on compatibility view, the button actually appears and functions correctly, but not when compatibility view is turned off.

    Any way to fix this?

    Nope. Facebook’s code just doesn’t work in IE9. Nothing I can do about it.

    You can try adding this to your theme’s header.php file:

    <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE8" >

    No idea if that will force IE9 to behave properly.
