Connecting Forms with a database

Okay my site will be all about visitors coming and filling out forms, not one but several types of forms. Now I want the data that is entered by visitors to be saved in a database (and it will be a huge database as there wil be lot of forms that will be submitted by thousands of visitors). The databse will be connected to WordPress offcourse. So how do I do it?
