• I press the “Click Here to Connect with GoToWebinar”, sign in to the account, get an Authentication sucessful message but the shortcodes only output this message:

    “Something’s not working. It looks like the API call to GoToWebinar isn’t succeeding. This may be because you are on a trial account. Unfortunately API calls can’t be made to GoToWebinar accounts on a trial. If you do have a full GoToWebinar licence please try re-authenticating the plugin again by pressing the ‘Click here to get Auth and Key’ button in the plugin settings. You should also clear the cache or turn the cache off in the plugin settings and this should resolve the issue.”

    I made a devoleper account on logmeininc.com, made the app, used the recommended redirect url but I still get the same error.

    Lastly I tried clearing the cache but nothing changed. It also won’t let me clear the cache for another 24 hours.

    Hi @bpace,

    I am not sure, we haven’t had any other users report this issue. As the message says, make sure you are not on a trial account. If trying to make it work with your application doesn’t work, try clearing your app details, saving the settings, refreshing the page and trying to connect again by pressing that connect button.     Hello and thanks for getting back to me on this. Whether I use your application or my own, I get the “Authentication was successful.” message. But when I place the [gotowebinar] shortcode on a page, I get the “Something’s not working. It looks like the API call to GoToWebinar isn’t succeeding.” message.

    In that case I am really not sure what the issue could be. Sometimes in the last this has been caused by server issues on GoToWebibars end, this could be the case in this instance. Thanks,

    @tonhoffmann I can’t say anything beyond what I have said previously. The only way I can assist you on your specific site is if you get the pro version and the issue persists. You can then provide me login details and I can carry out testing specific to your site and make sure everything is working ok.

    I am having the same issue here, except it is only happening on the staging site and not the live site. Though I am ready to go live with the staging site and I’m worried it won’t work once going live and we can’t lose this functionality on the site. I was thinking the issue might be that the app is registered only to the live page and so I added the staging site url but that didn’t work. When I click to connect it redirects to the live site instead of staying on the staging site. At any rate, it was working a week or so ago.

    @generalcode it could be a range of different things, specific to your environment. Unfortunately as I am unable to provide support on your specific site I am unable to troubleshoot things for you. As I mentioned before:

    My local and live testing is working fine on my end.

    I am having the same issue. We have a paid GoToWebinar acct and I have cleared the cache, tried creating an app per instructions, removed that and used the connect button in the plugin, get the successful message but the error still shows on the front end.
