    Hi Pierre

I’ve activated all as instructed – have API – plugin shows connection to OWM – but when I go to ‘Add’ station (virtual no Netatmo) I just get a blank wordpress page – no fields or forms at all – what could I be doing wrong.

API is accepted and selected ‘OpenWeatherMap only’

    Theme Newspaper 6.6

    Thanks

    Pat

  • Hello wbwired!
Are you using the standard theme fo admin dashboard ?
Have you access to your php log files?

    Hi Pierre

Yes standard admin them – some technical awareness – can connect by FTP etc – but don’t know what you mean by .php log files? If you can point me in the direction happy to check if I can

    Pat

php log files are files generated by php when encountering errors. But doesn’t matter… We will try with other methods ??
Do you have the ability to create me, temporarily, an administrator account?

I’m happy to provide access because I’ve just launched a live news blog on the site and your weather solution would be brilliant for it – do you have contact email I can send it to?

After several hours of analysis, it was impossible to find the reason for this bug. The hosting provider is not offering the possibility to access server logs, so I only have the opportunity to speculate on the reasons for the malfunction. It could be a problem related to the PHP configuration, including memory problems associated with intensive use of Locales.
I am extremely sorry, wbwired, not being able to solve this problem.

    Hi,
Just installed latest version on a fresh wordpress instance.
Got the same issue but I have access to the logs !
[Thu Jan 28 13:14:20.663701 2016] [:error] [pid 6741] [client 192.93.23.254:24150] PHP Fatal error: Class ‘Locale’ not found in /www/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/live-weather-station/includes/trait-datas-output.php on line 1844, referer: xxxxxx/blog/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=lws-config&view=manage-owm&action=manage-owm

Tried different browsers before going to the server side, it’s definitely a server side issue.
    Any idea ?
    Thanks/merci
    Eric

    OK, fixed, just RTFM !
    php5-intl was not installed …
    > sudo apt-get install php5-intl
    > sudo service apache2 restart

    Sorry !

    Hi Eric!

I am very glad that you solved this issue. You’ve actually found the right answer to this problem – access to the logs is really a great help in such cases ??
I hope you will enjoy using Live Weather Station …

    Have a good day.
    Pierre

Same here, Pierre. I believe it is some PHP package that is missing.

I’m using PHP5.6 in a CentOS Virtual Server. I’ll save some time to study what’s going on and I’ll keep you updated.

Just for information. In my CentOS I solved via:
    yum install php56w-intl
