    Gmail SMTP v1.2.3.8

    Test email feature is not working. Received the following error:

    2023-04-24 10:53:45 Connection failed. Error #2: stream_socket_client(): Unable to connect to smtp.gmail.com:587 (Network is unreachable) [/home/zkgbh9yy9b5d/public_html/wp-includes/PHPMailer/SMTP.php line 389]
    2023-04-24 10:53:45 SMTP ERROR: Failed to connect to server: Network is unreachable (101)
    SMTP connect() failed

    Hi, This means the plugin is not being able to make a remote connection to the Gmail smtp server. Please contact your web host to open port 587.

    ?“Please contact your web host to open port 587.” seems to be a common answer in your support forum.

    Is this mostly a godaddy shared hosting issue ?

    The custom gmail WAS working on this website I inherited for 2+ years and then just stopped one day.

    So, it would SEEM port 587 HAD been working.

    There are several MX and TXT dns records with reference to google and google-site-verification.

    Any idea how I can determine which ones may or may not be legitimite ?
