Connection issue wp mail smtp with outlook account

    I am using the free version of wp mail SMTP and getting this error while connecting with the outlook account.
    An issue was detected.
    This means your test email was unable to be sent.

    Typically this error is returned for one of the following reasons:

    Plugin settings are incorrect (wrong SMTP settings, invalid Mailer configuration, etc).
    Your web server is blocking the connection.
    Your host is rejecting the connection.

    My configuration is
    smtp.office365.com
    TLS 587 (I also tried with SSL to make sure if it’s working)
    Username password my outlook account u/p
    kindly help me with this

    Hi @hamzajamshed152,

    Thanks for reaching out! When you send a test email from the WP Mail SMTP > Tools area, you should be able to see the full error. Here’s a screenshot of the option to get a full error log. This will provide you with an idea of what might be going on.

    Then, you can get in touch with your hosting support with the full error log, so that they can whitelist your SMTP connection requests.

    Thanks for the reply. I actually used office 365 through the Azure Account App credentials.
