Connection timed out when trying to access the Jetpack console

I have not been able to access the Jetpack console to manage my backups for at least one week now. I have tried different devices, browsers and incognito but nothing helps. Both jetpack.com and cloud.jetpack.com are not responding.
I have the same issue with several websites that are running at different hosting providers. As soon as I click Backup & Scan from the admin console menu in WordPress the page is loading forever and after a while I get “ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT”.
It was working well for all of my sites before.
What can I do to debug this issue more?
