• Fast Velocity Minify does not clear WP Super Cache properly. Then your browser cannot find .css and .js files, which ruins the way your site looks.

You should clear Fast Velocity Minify cache, then clear WP Super Cache (and refresh cache, check it), go to your site to check it looks properly. And only then go to PageSpeed for your green numbers.

Plugins I use to make my dream come true:
Fast Velocity Minify – Enable options: Strip HTML comments, Inline all header CSS files, Inline all footer CSS files, Enable defer of JS for Pagespeed Insights.
WP Super Cache – leave everything in default
Google Webfont Optimizer – Enable option: Javascript Web Font Loader (higher PageSpeed Score). It seems that it does something similar to Fast Velocity, but I could not reach 90+ score on PageSpeed without this plugin.
Complete Analytics Optimization Suite (CAOS) – Position of tracking code – Footer.

Remember to clear cache every time you go to PageSpeed after tuning your options.
I hope it will help someone.

    Thanks,
This is already implemented and fixed for the next 2.0.9 version.

But indeed, you should always purge all caches once all development / optimization is completed.
