Consider some temporary fb/insta shop fixes
-
I understand FB/Insta want people using their checkout and have basically rendered half this point of the plugin pretty much useless. However, consider at least fixing some sync issues (ie sync inventory, categories, etc). Sure Meta gets the fees for sales via our social media in the mean time but that would theoretically still keep woo earning money as people do return to the vendors websites for future sales.
Doing this makes our lives easy because we only have to manage inventory in one spot. In essence, it also keeps us shop owners buying from woo, preventing wandering eyes to other competing platforms – think your largest competitor – which fb business manager is promoting. If I understand the notice correctly, they do work with the new meta rules. But honestly haven’t looked into the popup much bc overall I do prefer woo. It did grab my attention enough to have me come check to see if you guys had a solution yet.
