I currently have one site self hosted with bluehost:
    https://www.jkdunlimited.com
I also run a shopping cart via zen cart at https://www.jkdunlimited.com/store
I want to turn on the multisite feature so that I can create separate sites for each product line.
I currently have one line’s site on wordpress.com which I want to import into the self hosted multisite: https://www.BattlefieldKali.com.

Question 1: Subdomains or Subdirectories? I’m leaning towards subdomains but since my store is already in a subdirectory, I’m not sure if that’s a conflit or not?

Question2: Is there a way to make the same shopping cart appear in all sites besides just linking to it. A way to actually embed the shopping cart?

Question 3: For some of the products, I have two domain names:
For The Street.com and For Street Self Defense.com
MMA For The Street.com and MMA For Street Self Defense.com etc…
Should I map the longer domain since it includes the keyword (self defense) or Should I map the shorter one since it will be the one including in all print ads and thus the one people will likely type in when going to our site.

Thank you for the feedback. I want to look at all the angles before starting the set up.
    Aloha, Sarah

Question 4: If I am domain mapping any way, does it even matter whether I choose subdomains or subdirectories since the URL will not be read after I do the domain mapping…

If you use subdomains, all sites will have domain.com/folder

So say you have /store/ and then you made subsite for pasta.battlefieldkali.com

    Then you’d have pasta.battlefieldkali.com/store

Which would have the effect of the same store on all sites.

I’m not sure how that would be impacted with domain mapping.

    Thanks for responding.
That would be interesting to know if it would still work if I map the domain.

For instance if I set up
    MMAForTheStreet.jkdunlimited.com as my subdomain
and then map MMAForTheStreet.com to it
and then add a page on the site with permalink: MMAForTheStreet.com/store
if it would point to the store folder.

If anyone can confirm, that would be great.
If it doesn’t work, I have to way the pro of mapping vs the convenience of having the store show on every subdomain.

Yes. THAT I know works ?? I do that for a set of sites.

Just remember, /store/ will be 100% the same for all your sites.
