• Guys, I like your product. It seems well-written and seems to perform quite well. The problem is that in the last week or so, I am getting locked out of the admin login page on the first login attempt, and this occurs on multiple websites using the same login credentials I have used from day one.

How do I get in? By clicking on the link in your warning email, which grants access using the same login credentials I used upfront. This is a new issue, as in recent. I think there was a recent Wordfence update, too.

  • Hi trinity7,
What was the reason for getting locked out? “this should be clearly written in the locked-out page you got”.

Also, maybe you don’t have “How does Wordfence get IPs” option set correctly, a good way to test this option is trying to reload your website in another browser window while not being logged in (let’s say a Chrome incognito window), then check “Live Traffic” log and make sure your IP address is being detected correctly there, if it’s not, then you need to re-configure “How does Wordfence get IPs” option depending on your server configuration.

    Thanks.
