• Hello,
I am constantly getting the error:
“Execute of /home/[username]/public_html/index.php stopped because of load 38.92”.

My understanding of this is the index.php is being overloaded from requests/executions and is therefore being “closed” by PHP?

At first I thought this was a plugin/theme conflict, but when I tried to access my database during the 500 errors, I also got a 500 error on the Siteground cPanel for PHPMyAdmin. So this has lead me to believe this maybe isn’t a plugin or theme conflict, especially as it’s effecting the cPanel on the server.

This has been happening for months now, and I have contacted Siteground countless amount of times, just to either be ignored or receive absolute pointless information that I have already attempted when the first time they told me.

Has anyone else been receiving this error and how would I fix/troublshoot? I tried Googling the error and all the articles have been no help (based on what I found).

It’s extremely difficult for me to disable all plugins and theme on the website as it’s a live e-commerce environment for our business.

    Thanks,
    Kieron

  • This looks like a hosting/server issue to me. Have you spoken to your hosts about it?

    Hello,
Yes I contacted Siteground and they told me to change things such as the Heartbeat API, manage the wp-cron from the server cPanel, etc. But none of these changed anything.

As I wrote this I was speaking to Siteground at the same time, so I am currently waiting for a ticket that they setup for me to be answered, I wouldn’t be suprised if they just repeat themselves.

I will update this post with what they tell me.

    Thanks,
    Kieron

We (SiteGround) will investigate this issue in details and get back to you!

    Hi KieronLittleFishFX,

Just switched weeks ago to siteground. Exactly the same errors / regular regular timeouts / same replies… I am going round in circles. I am very interested to know if you solved your problem (and if yes, how?).

    Thanks,

    Zirk

The error may be the same but the cause is usually different for every different case. Please, give me your ticket ID, I will investigate it and get back to you in the ticket.

I have the same error on Siteground. Any solution?

    Hi @sroskylo1,

I am one of the Senior technical support supervisors at SiteGround. As Hristo mentioned, the cause of the issue and the solution could be different and the case should be investigated in details. Can you provide me with the ticket ID you have in our system so I can check the issue further?

HI @ivanyordanov-1, I’m also having the same problem. The site is giving error 503 and the log is possible to see this entry… My ticket is 1950339

I fixed it by deleting a few plugins (specifically NextScripts Auto Poster, and a few more), and checking for any PHP errors/warnings and fixing them, and then I upgraded the server as it was being overloaded. We haven’t had a 500 error for a few months.

Hi, @kieronlittlefishfx, good for you and thank you for the follow-up! On my side, I (sort of) improved things, but could not completely get rid of these errors… Could you please explain what do you mean by “upgraded the server”?

    Thank you!

That’s a pretty common error and can be caused by many different plugins, themes, combination of both, content, etc. Please, open another thread and add as many details as possible. Otherwise, it would be impossible to help you out.
