In the Manifest tab of Chrome Dev Tools, I’m seeing this:
And down under Icons:
So you can see that the image being chosen for the icon is not correct. It needs to be square.
In the logic for obtaining the icons, it is using
get_site_icon_url(). On your site, however, it doesn’t seem this function is returning a URL to a square image, which is not normal. Either that, or you have a plugin that is filteringweb_app_manifestto inject the wrong image size.
