I downloaded the Constant Contact widget for my wordpress page. It is meant to be a sidebar newsletter subscribe form. This issue I am having is that it is asking for a “unique form ID code.” It says you can find it by setting up “your site visitor sign up form in Constant Contact (Contacts > Site Visitor Signup).”

My question is, where do I do this? I can’t find any “Contacts” section that I can set this up in. Can someone point me in the right direction?

  • I think it’s referring to your account on constantcontact.com.

I didn’t realize I needed an account at constantcontact.com. Isn’t there a free widget that can do the same thing?

The widget/plugin is free. Constant Contact, however, are a commercial company, so you have to pay to use their email subscription management services.

Try searching the Plugin Directory for ’email’ or ‘newsletter’. I’m pretty sure that there are some plugins that offer basic mailing list functionality listed in there but, obviously, they’re not going to offer as much as a commercial service.

Thanks esmi, I’ll look for another plugin. The thing is, it really doesn’t have to do much. I just want the email addresses to get emailed to me. I will take care of the rest. I don’t need a management company.

    Thanks again.

@continental – Thanks for trying the Constant Contact widget, but as @esmi has said, it’s for people who use Constant Contact.

I recommend the Contact Form 7 plugin; it’s simple and effective.

    Try this
constant contact Integrate constantcontact.com contact list from word press.
