Constant Contact Form Issue

  • I am hoping to set live a WordPress site that has been built by a third party and handed over to ourselves. They have added the Constant Contact connection but I am now seeing the error message ‘Constant Contact Forms has experienced issues that may need addressed and functionality may be missing. Please enable the “Support” checkbox under the Support tab in?Constant Contact settings?and start a?forum support thread. Our support team will aid with further steps.’ Therefore I am doing as it has told me. Please could you advise on the next steps.

    Have you taken the steps to enable the Debugging tools/panel that we have available as part of the settings? That should reveal a new menu item that will house potential error logs related to the issue. We’ll want those logs shared here, or we have ways to share them privately if you’d prefer. That’ll allow us to see what the issues are and how to best proceed forward.

    That said, if this is a live move where the plugin was previously connected, you’ll want to re-take those connection steps with the live install so that appropriate tokens and connections based on domain will be refreshed.

    That said, the log information will be the most immediately helpful detail here.

    Thanks for that.

    Looks like you’re in a spot where you need to perform the disconnect/reconnect process to get fresh access tokens generated for the site. That’ll get things back in working order.

    Thanks so much for your response. Please could you give a little more detail into how I perform the disconnect/reconnect process you mentioned?

    There should be a green “Disconnect” submenu item, that you can see when you visit /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=ctct_forms&page=ctct_options_connect in your own admin.

    There it’ll show an “Account connected” screen with name, email, but also a status and a button to click to disconnect. Once you click and confirm that button, it should then show a “Connect Now” screen and just follow the directions there.
