When I click on Constant Contact Settings, I get “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” So I’m starting a support thread.

I’m also getting error email notifications saying “Submitted to Constant Contact: An error occurred while attempting Constant Contact API request.” On the front end of the website, it appears as though the name was submitted, but they do not end up in the Constant Contact database.

There is a chance the constant contact list was renamed and I’m checking on that. I can’t find in the plugin where that list is indicated. I do not wish for the people signing up to choose that list, i want to indicate it on the back end as the only choice.

Is your user an administrator? Or only an editor or lower? It sounds like your current user doesn’t have access to all of the settings areas that we have set up for the plugin.

    Administrator.

I have the name of the Constant Contact list I need the subscribers added to. Where can I put that so that the subscribers don’t choose it, it just happens automatically when they sign up? Thanks!

I’ll plug that in when you get back to me and see if that fixes the error “Submitted to Constant Contact: An error occurred while attempting Constant Contact API request.”

When building the form, and if on the latest version of the plugin, you should be able to just check the checkbox next to the list you want, and that should just auto-sign the users up to that one list. No having them choose from many.

Still not sure why you’re not able to access the settings, and my next point about turning on debugging requires visiting that ??

can you provide the URL that you’re clicking to for that part, you don’t need to provide the domain, just the wp-admin/ and onwards.

Thanks! I didn’t realize I could select one and have it go there automatically – i did that, tested it, and it works perfectly. thank you!

the url of the ‘constant contact settings’ is https://www.refugeesupportservices.org/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=ctct_forms&page=ctct_options_settings

Since it says ‘support settings’ i poked around and found the page it might be referring to by clicking the settings item and then the support tab and that url is https://www.refugeesupportservices.org/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=ctct_forms&page=ctct_options_settings_support

I wonder if the first url link is just an outdated/dead link and the 2nd url is actually the one that is correct.

Good to hear that the list and submission parts are working now.

Looks like you identified a spot we missed updating a little ways back and we never caught it. I have confirmed the spot in the notification link where it’s pointing to the original settings page url, but as you noted, not working any more. I’ll get that filed internally to be fixed up.

    Thanks for everything.

Excellent! I’ve always been able to root out the missed pieces. So, since we’ve gotten to the bottom of that and the other issue, I have just hit the x on the error. I assume I don’t need to do anything else?

For the time being, yes. The notification may come back in the future if a new error occurs, but hopefully not.
