• I love Contact Form 7 because it generally just works well. I rarely have unexplained problems (most of the time I troubleshoot it to user error). However this time I’ve had an issue happen a couple times I don’t have any explanation for.

    I set up the Constant Contact integration on this site for the form at the bottom of every page so they can sign up for the newsletter. It works great when there is a connection established, but I’ve twice had my client complain that they submit the form and nothing has happened. Both times I’ve logged into the dashboard, gone to “Contact > Integrations” and found the service was disconnected. I would click the “Set Up Integration” button and walk through the steps again only to find my information is still all set in there and the connection is reestablished.

    I haven’t done any changes to the site that might cause the interruption of service. I am using WordPress 5.0.3 with child theme based on Virtue Premium theme by Kadence Themes and Contact Form 7 5.1.1. I have not upgraded any plugins or themes since integrations have been interrupted and reestablished either time, so am at a loss for what caused this.

    Do you see any pattern in the occurrence of the problem? How long was the period between your reestablishing the connection and next occurrence of disconnection? A half day? One month? Have you ever seen any other troubles on the website?

    I’ve only seen it happen twice, so not sure if there is a pattern. The period was about 2 weeks. I haven’t seen any problems with the site besides that. I’ll be sure to note if there are any changes that are made if I see it again.
