• I have three WordPress websites, all hosted by streamline.net. Because I travel I am often on a mobile connection but all three suffer from constant internal server errors. One blog is ten years old with many hundreds of blog entries, one is a new database with just a few entries. The third is my wife’s and she can’t even update plugins as the internal server error message keeps popping up. We’re at our wit’s end.

How can I establish what is causing this problem? I keep lodging support tickets with Streamline who come back and tell us there is nothing wrong with the service, but I have read elsewhere that they are not very well regarded as a host company.

Could the problem actually be that we’re on a bad internet connection, and that the connection keeps dropping out? We certainly don’t have problems with other websites, though I suspect many use their own server whereas we’re on a shared server. If it is the connection, what is the technical reason for it dropping out?

Or could it be a crappy shared server that simply isn’t dedicating enough bandwidth to us?

    Any pointers gratefully received.
