  • I love the look. I really do. Flexible full screen widths I can’t be doing with. The reason for that is that at bigger screen sizes the line lengths become untenable.
Its alright if you are Eric Meyer or someone – but give me fixed every time or it needs to be very skillfully executed. Mid section in ems etc. If you would just stop fiddling for a bit and get it finished it could look gorgeous. Just my 2c. ??

There is only room for twenty four designers on this project.

@wairoanz. I am just posting in the other thread for you.

For what it’s worth, I’ve finally locked in on a design concept– 3col, fixed width. Works much better at 1024 and up. Nothing to show at the moment. Cloudy and dark here. Artificial light, even the color corrected kind, blows away any hope of getting anything decent on screen or off. The weather is supposed to be better tommorow, but one never knows in New England…

    Edit:

Well : We are patient ?? Good luck.

Almost got it– still some obvious but minor styling and color tweaking yet to do. Any major problems would be easiest to resolve now (before switching over to php).

    Thanks.

My; willnea you have been busy. That is a beautifully executed 3 col layout. Its got more hacks than Hannibal Lechter. Really neat and a lot of hard work. The light obviously improved – the colors look stunning. Welcome to WordPress (almost)

Your blog looks achingly cool. You do not need any help from us home hackers :).

Yes, the talented and modest guru who leads masses of innocents down the paths of rightousness on behalf of WordPress likens himself, and others like him, to home hackers. Indeed!

Well many of us do not know a gif from a jpeg far less doing the cool stuff you get up to.
