Contact 7 no form code to copy, no generate tags tab

  • Dashboard > Contact > Edit shows no code in the brown horizontal stripe at the top (Weaver theme) and there is no generate tags tab like previously. The email field was showing up white whereas the other fields were gray and I changed ’email*’ to ‘text*’ to get conformity but have compromised that field against verifying proper email address format. Why am I not seeing the generate tags in order to modify the form and why am I not seeing the code to copy for the short code? The form on the site seems to be working fine, but I was thinking about possibly modifying it. Site.

    Try reinstalling the plugin, switching theme to the default theme, and deactivating all other plugins.

    Do not understand what is meant by default theme. Are you suggesting that a site must be built around a Contact 7 plugin? I just deleted the plugin and went to reinstall and have gone through two pages searching for ‘Contact 7’ and all I see are newsletter, extensions, etc., etc., where is the actual plugin and does it still exist?

    I found the plugin, don’t know why the search didn’t bring it on the first couple of pages. So I did reinstall it and deactivated all the other plugins except simple capcha and it still is not showing the ‘generate tag’ tab or the code to copy. I apologize for all this inconvenience.
