[contact-form-7 404 "Not Found"]

I too am having this issue. I upgraded to WP 3.4.2 and Contact Form 7 3.3 (which claims to be 100% compatible with 3.4.2).

However, the upgrade broke my Comment form and displayed an error: [contact-form-7 404 “Not Found”]

I found the following article, and it appeared I wasn’t using the correct short code, because I wasn’t including the id. (Maybe that changed in this version?)

Anyways, I pasted in the correct short code — now [contact-form-7 id=”12613″ title=”Contact form 1″] instead of [contact-form-7 title=”Contact form 1″] — but now the plugin didn’t display, and the error message disappeared.

I installed the last development version of Contact Form 7 (3.1.2) and it’s working PERFECTLY again on the same theme. Maybe there is some conflict between version 3.2 and some other plugin?

This method worked to me for a while but stopped to work few days ago (I did some changes in my website). I updated wordpress to 3.4.2 and Contact Form to 3.3. To me it seems like some plugin conflict because I disabled few of them and guess what…IT’S WORKING!! Don’t ask me which plugin exactly because I disabled simply some which I was not using any more like some galleries, videos and other contact forms plugins.

I figured out that a plugin called “Grunion Contact Form” conflicts with Contact Form 7. I was getting the same error but when I killed Grunion it worked fine, using the last version availible. Probably a bad idea to use more plugins at the same time that do the same thing ??

If you see Contact Form 7 404 Error, just enter to HTML mode and change qoute; and aomething to usual “.

I am using Cardamon WP Theme. when this plugin gets enable one of the slideshow tab of this theme not showing over the admin panel. after deactivated this plugin everything works fine.
is there any provision for showing limited nos. of tabs on left side of the admin panel ?

Just use the shortcode with no quotation marks, i.e:

[contact-form-7 id=732]

But now the Form only accepts Capital Letters ??

now i got it! The problem was in the Theme in the aerea Input. their was Capital letter set.
