Contact Form 7 Becomes slow when adding CF7 Addons

    Hey there,
    CF7 undoubtedly works great but the issue is the speed of submitting the form becomes slow when we add other cf7 plugins such as flamingo or cf7db or like other api related plugins which loads the spinner for about 10-15 seconds and the experience becomes not so responsive for the user. Please let me know Is there any technique to optimize CF7.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    This is unusual – you likely have some other issues in your WP install.

    The spinning arrow is a common sign of a JavaScript conflict. This could be due to a conflict with your WP theme or one of the other plugins you are using.

    Switch temporarily (nothing will be lost when you switch back) to a WP default theme & disable all plugins other than Contact Form 7 to see if the problem goes away.

    If it does you can switch back to your theme & re-activate each plugin one by one to see when the problem occurs.

    Thanks for getting back to me. I disabled every plugin and checked CF7. The CF7 then submits the form in a few seconds. However, Plugins related with CF7 are taking time to submit the forms resulting in spinning of the arrow for about 10-15 seconds. I checked the source and inspected that they are using wpcf7_before_send_mail action hook to submit and I think this is the hook which is triggering first before sending any submission and thus taking their own time.

    The slowness is likely created by one or more of the plugins – I recommend you focus there.

    Hey there,
    I managed to fix the issue as I downgraded CF7 and it worked like a charm as I am on WordPress 4.9. Thanks for the kind support. I am Marking this ticket as resolved.

    I am facing same issue. Every add-on plugin to CF7 is slowing down the submission process. On deactivation of each such plugin, submission happens 2-3 sec early. Using 3 add-ons… redirect.. google sheet connector and one for getresponse connect..

    Please let me know which version did you rollback to.

    I downgraded to CF7 5.0.5 version since I am on WordPress 4.9.x

    Thanks. I’m trying to shift to different versions. Have come down from 10 sec to 6 sec. Which all plugins are you using and how much time does it take for submission at your end?

    Hey @pallavc,
    I am using plugins related with CRM Called HubSpot CF7 plugin and CF7 GetResponse extension. And by using these plugins takes 4-5 seconds for the submission.
