Contact Form 7 Broken

    We use both Contact Form 7 and CleanTalk anti-spam. With the CleanTalk plugin enabled, no one can submit a contact form, always getting the response “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.” I tried turning off Contact Forms and Custom Forms in the plugin settings but still can not submit a contact form. If I deactivate CleanTalk, it works perfectly.

    Hello,

    CleanTalk plugin is fully compatible with Contact Form 7. Could you try to deactivate the plugin with the “Complete deactivation” option enabled and then activate it again?

    1. Enter the Antispam by Cleantalk plugin settings. (WordPress Dashboard -> Settings -> Antispam by Cleantalk -> Advanced settings)

    2. Check the last settings “Complete deactivation” and save changes.

    3. Deactivate the plugin on the “Plugins” page in WordPress Dashboard.

    4. Then activate it.

    5. Proceed to the plugin’s settings. (See item 1.)

    No. After complete deactivation then activating it again and applying the settings, I still get the “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.” message when I try to submit a contact form.

    @wynot could you clarify what update do you mean? CleanTalk plugin fully supports Contact Form 7.

    Hi @sergecleantalk … I was just doing research on plugins that have updates on my sites and saw this thread. I posted because you asked the original poster to contact you privately and I wanted to know the result of that so I could decide if I should update the plugin or now.

    Hope that hepls…. I am NOT having any problems right now, but was concerned about updating and having this problem too.

    We’ve fixed it in the Anti-Spam plugin new release 5.172. You can update the plugin when this version is available.
