    no solution here. I just spent time fixing another contactForm problem that they said did not exist. Looks like their software is getting sloppy. Any suggestions on alternative contact plugin?

    I am gonna wait till they find the fix for this, since i like it a lot and everything working fine, it is sending mails normally, i just don`t like to have errors on my site.

    Same problem here. Shows “This contact form has 4 configuration errors.” But i have no idea where or what they are. I’ll check back here periodically and hope for answers.

    None of my contact forms are working any more. I’ve edited them but can’t seem to get rid of the configuration errors, which make no sense to me. The Help page makes no sense to me either. https://contactform7.com/tag-syntax/

    Time to switch to a different plugin perhaps?

    I have found the solution. Its simple just enter the same mail adres with tags <> and put example@ or noreply@ it really does not matter the important thing is that you must have same mail adres in field from as in field To.Here is Screenshot.
    Find on youtube how you can properly configure your CF7 here is one Tutorial

    @deffectrix Thanks. I’ve replicated the settings shown on your screenshot but have had no luck, still getting the same errors.

    I also tried the settings shown in the video but these are also not working. I think the reason these settings don’t work is because this is an old tutorial from before the recent update that broke everyone’s forms.

    @dave333 I don`t know why is not working for you. For me everything working fine now. Here is tags for form and final look of my mail. Try to get sense of it.Screenshot For me it is working great now.

    Is anyone from the actual plug-in addressing this issue?

    @wotnow

    You’ll see from the forum that the plugin author is responding to users having issues with their form configuration. If you post a new thread then you will have a better chance of receiving a reply.

    i spoke heard from them about another problem just two weeks. ago. They acknowledge that many are complaining about the same problem but “No bugs have been found so far relating to this issue, in WordPress or the Contact Form 7 plugin.” How can you work with that? I checked my configuration and it is exactly what they require.

    I understand that users are having problems, but from what I can see this is primarily configuration rather than conflicts with WP core, themes or other plugins. Are you still having a problem? Could you post/screenshot your Form + Mail + Mail (2) code/settings here?

    @barnez The plugin broke all existing forms and needed to be reconfigured. The main problem was that most users didn’t know what the new configuration requirements are and spent many hours troubleshooting. Having to go through several suggested solutions meant several hours of trying a range of suggestions.

    For me, and many others though, the problem also involved a conflict with other existing plugins.

    I personally spent many hours on the weekend looking for a solution and then applying it to all my websites and client’s websites. Meanwhile, all attempts by visitors to use the contact forms to make contact with website owners resulted in errors and meant that contact was not possible via their website’s contact pages.

    It’s a big deal.
