contact form 7 doesn't send emails

I just upgraded to WordPress 3.6 and upgraded Contact Form 7 to 3.5 and now my form doesn’t work.

I get “Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.”

I just received some work from a previous developer (I hate that things :] ). I have WordPress 3.5.1 and Contact Form 7 3.5.

As far as I know if the box with green borders shows, the PHP mail function worked successfully, but I didn’t get a single email so far…

Any clue about this issue?

I am in the same boat as esthersoesman. I have about 4 forms and all were working. Now none are. Releasing email blast on monday and would hate to have to switch it all out. I love Contact 7.

Any help? Plugin is up to date and so is WP build.

I also have the same problem FAQ on the plugin state:

“Showing the green border message means that the PHP function for sending the mail has certainly completed successfully. So if you can’t receive the mail, it’s highly possible that the mail has been kidnapped or killed after that.

If you can check the log of your mail server, it could give you some clues. Spam filter often causes this kind of problem.”

But I have no idea how to do this??

Please share the solution people. had contact form 7, it was working fine but now none are…

How do you change the php function to smpt. If you can change that and fill in your email adress etc. It should work. Someone help.

I have got it working sort of.

installed pluging “WP-Mail-SMTP” and set it up to send from email that is a company email.

Tests work and emails are received, but only in Gmail.

So it works when sending emails to a gmail account, but not when sending to out company email address. ?

Strange.

Any ideas ?

It does actually work using WP-Mail-SMTP plugin.

I have set up contact form to send to both our company email address and my person gmail address and this is the results.

There seems to be an hour delay from sending the message to it being received by our company email address.

The Gmail email address receives them instantly.

Any idea why the delay to the company email address ?

Hello – none of my contact form 7 forms work on this site anymore. I have tried installing wp mail stmp plugin and can send emails through it. I have followed the instructions on this post to try and resolve.

When I try to use one of the forms, nothing happens. No grey spinning ball, nothing the form just sits. I am using WordPress 3.6 and the plugin is at version 3.5.1
