My popup has a Contact Form 7 form (added by shortcode) and is triggered by a ‘click open’ trigger. There is ‘success’ popup shown after successful form submission.
    This works fine.
But when the form is submitted with errors (empty fields or required fields not filled etc.), the errors are not shown within the form in the popup. Instead the popup just closes without showing any errors.
How can I show validation errors within the form in the popup?

    Hello @chugs

    Thank you for reaching out!

We apologize for the delayed response due to the volume of tickets. We hope for your kind understanding.

On the other hand, Popup Maker doesn’t have a feature to automatically close the popup if the contact form is not submitted. By default the Close on Form Submission is not enabled under the popup settings > Close tab. It should display the validation errors and not close the popup. I have tested it on my site as seen here https://share.getcloudapp.com/KouZ4JRD

Kindly check the setting of the Contact Form 7 and see if the message and popup settings tab are properly configured. I would also suggest checking the popup settings > Close tab.

    Hope that helps.

    Hello @exituslg and @wclune

Thank you for joining the thread, and I’m sorry to hear you’re having this trouble with your popup.

@exituslg could you please check the above suggestion and see if that would help fix the issue?

@wclune kindly see if the Close on Form Submission is enabled under the popup settings > Close tab. If it does, please uncheck the Close on Form Submission. I have checked the Ninja form, and it did not close the popup and displayed the validation errors.

Thanks for your reply. Honestly I have to say, that I have overlooked that it’s here meant for Popup Maker. I still using Elementor with the Essential Addon Contact Form 7 Widget.

But its the same. I didn’t find any Close Tab yet.

    Hello @exituslg

    Thanks for your reply.

It seems you may need to reach out to Elementor if it is an addon and it could have custom code on their plugin addon. The supported plugin of Popup Maker is not an add on, but their main Contact Form 7 plugin found here.

    I hope this clarifies things.
