    Hi guys,

I have no idea what′s going on with my contact form.

Might anyone have a look onto it and perhaps give me an idea what might be wrong? https://hunde-ohne-heimat.de/kontakt

It′s exactly the same code I use on another website where it works flawlessly.

I try looking at it via inspect elements but it doesn′t help.

    Thx for any idea!

there might be a missing </div> but why?

whatever I have no clue lol :-[

Hi soultomic. Welcome to the Hueman forum. I just took a look at your site and didn’t see any problems. The contact form has four text boxes and a send button. What is it specifically that’s wrong?

    thx bdbrown!

Have you tried filling in the “name” field? It won′t let U.

Also there should be a reCAPTCHA below the contact form.
Sometimes when refreshing I can see it briefly but hidden behind the Send-Button.

Sorry I seem not te be able to write atm?

    thx bdbrown…

U can′t fill in the first field and the reCAPTCHA doesn′t show. Sometimes on refreshing I can see it briefly half hidden behind the Send-Button.

Alright the problem def. apperas by inserting the recaptcha

I now have none and the contact form works fine. meh. i sure need a recaptcha

Below the send button is a <p> tag that only contains an empty anchor tag. That’s followed by the recaptcha div which is actually positioned at the same location as the Name textbox. That’s probably why the Name input doesn’t work. Based on the structure of the rest of the form it appears that the recaptcha div should be inside the last <p> tag. That’s just a guess since I’ve never used Contact Form 7.

    Thx for your effort…

I tried everything to put the [recaptcha] inside and outside p and all other tags / none at all.

    nothing worked.

Now I installed pirate forms which works flawlessly…
Just need to style it a little as the message area ist quite small. ??

Glad you found an alternative. If you don’t need any further assistance here please mark the topic as Resolved. Thanks.

    Good morning,

now it′s clear I still do need Contact Forms 7 for being able to create a “become a member” form.
Pirate Forms only allows creating one form. ;/

I′m gonna ask in Contact Forms 7 support but mark this as solved later perhaps someone else has an idea.

I created a page only with contact form 7 form so whoever might be able to help can still see what is the problem.

Further, when a field is not filled in correctly the error message won′t disappear so u can not fill the field again.

Alright so it′s def. a theme conflict

Via live preview I went to the contact form page in “twenty fourteen theme” where everything worked just fine.

Here a screenshot no idea if it helps

screw cf7 i just installed fast and secure cf and will use that next to pirate forms for regular contact page.

    thx anyway!

Thanks for the update. I use FSCF on a couple of different sites. A bit more complicated but there are a lot of options, and I’ve never had a problem with it.
